Inconel 690 is a high-chromium nickel-based superalloy with excellent water corrosion resistance and stress cracking resistance. The chromium content is about 30%, which is significantly higher than the chromium content in other alloys. Therefore, it is resistant to high-temperature oxidizing gases and oxidizing chemicals. High resistance, and a certain degree of resistance to sulfidation at high temperatures, high nickel content endows the alloy with resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments and sodium hydroxide solutions. In addition to corrosion resistance.Allloy 690 also has high strength, good metallurgical stability and workability, and is mainly used in heat transfer tubes for steam generators in water reactors (PWR) nuclear power plants.
